Things You Need to Know About Thai Language
Fast track to Thai language
Thai language is the official language of Thailand, so you foreigners might find it difficult to live here since 60% of Thais can’t speak English and don’t talk about the document or official paper you will get from the government or make a contact with the government, they are all in Thai as well. The first problem you will find here about language barrier is listening because you will not understand a word that Thai people say due to their lack of English, unlike Philippines or Malaysian. So if you are a tourist or a person who just start to spend your life in Thailand, you have to learn the simple words to make your life a bit easier in Thailand. First of all, when you land to Thailand, you might have to find taxi to get to your hotel or your apartment or etc. You have to tell the driver where you want to go, study the name of the place you want to go and practice to speak it clearly or better if you write down in paper showing them or even a lot better if you have the address and the map showing them in Thai. The second word you have to learn is “How much”. In Thai is “Tao rai?”, Never ever get in the taxi without asking “Tao rai” because you don’t want to overpay the taxi charge. Remember since you show your foreign face, it’s all about money to Thai people right away.
How to get the bill in Thai
Ok, when you arrive to where you live, you might get hungry after the long flight. Go straight to any restaurants nearby, look at the menu, point the food you like and show them fingers of how many of it you want. And again when you finish the meal say “Check bill krab” for guys and “check bill ka” for girls when you want the waitress to collect the money after the meal.

This is what I’m try to say as well about the word Krab or ka. Many foreigners misunderstood about these 2 words. The words Krab and Ka have no meaning but it is always used at the end of the sentence in order to make it sound polite. Krab is used by male while Ka is used by female. You might find it funny by Thai people sometimes if guys say Ka.
Angry Birds: Hang ‘Em High
It seems like I’ve been waiting forever, but the next update for Angry Birds on Android finally came out over the weekend! I was actually late getting it because I thought I had set all of my Android apps to auto-update, and this time Rovio decided to make us do a manual update. Needless to say, I demolished my battery yesterday trying to kill those evil green pigs!
The newest levels (30 in all for Android, only 15 for those Apple people), are now Western-themed, showing pigs in sombreros and cowboy hats for our amusement. The developers have also added the ability to slice through ropes and drop really sharp and/or heavy objects on those unsuspecting bacon factories who have stolen our eggs once again.
There has been a small uproar about this update, which is making it unpopular among gamers. This update requires access to your phone’s SMS (text messaging) system for a new feature Rovio is rolling out called “Bad Piggy Bank Payments,” which gives the user the ability to purchase The Mighty Eagle via text messages that charge to the phone bill or balance instead of having to use a credit card (which a lot of people don’t use or even have). The system doesn’t do anything else with the SMS outside of that, so if you don’t use the Bad Piggy Bank, you’ll never have to worry about it.
A final bit of news about Angry Birds was the Super Bowl / Angry Birds Rio combo in the 4th quarter of last night’s game. I won’t reveal the spoiler here, but it turns out there’s a bonus level involving Golden Eggs and a bit of tricky play you’ll have to do in order to accomplish it. The hardest part for me was getting to the level where the Golden Eggs was hidden.

What’s The Angry Birds Game All About?
The survival of the Angry Birds is at stake. Dish out revenge on the greedy green pigs who stole the their eggs. Use the distinctive powers of each bird to wipeout the green pigs castles. The game features stimulating physics-based gameplay and countless hours of fun whenever you feel like winding down and working on your trajectory skills just load it up and start popping pigs. Each of the 195 levels requires skill, logic, and precision to solve.
These aren’t your normal birds. They each have special powers to aid in the efforts of catching those pigs that stole their eggs. As you progress through the game you will meet the family of birds. There is the Red bird, who is like a mercenary with average power. Then there is the Yellow bird, which is my favorite, they have the unique talent of speed and can destroy almost anything in its path. Next you will be introduced to the small Blue bird, at first glance you don’t see what is special about this tiny bird but once activated he splits up into three birds in order to cover a lot more ground. Next, you’ll meet the White bird, now these guys are the aerial bombers, dropping an egg like a bomb destroying anything it lands on. Then comes the Black bird, which is the suicide bomber of the clan, blowing up upon contact and doing massive amounts of damage. Last but not least, is the Green bird, aka the boomerang, when activated he will boomerang backwards and take out just about anything in its path.
The game is very addicting and you must be mindful because otherwise you can easily spend hours playing without even realizing it. Great for when waiting for an appointment at the doctors or whenever you need to waste some time. One of the aspects of the game that keep you playing is the star rating for each level. You can get one two or three stars depending on how well you completed the level. Sometimes it can take quite a few tries before you finally acquire three stars for a certain level. Generally the best way to achieve three stars is to use the least amount of birds possible to complete the level, that’s where you’ll get the most points. Also, be on the lookout for hidden golden eggs for special achievements.
